Spend Valentine's week with your favorite heroes

My hero is Sir Talbot St. Claire from the medieval romance Claimed.

What is your strength?  I am a great warrior.
What is your weakness? I desire peace. (For a warrior, this is the kiss of death.)
What would you like to get on Valentine's Day?  An uninterrupted night with my lady wife, Lady Rhoslyn.
What would be your perfect date? A picnic at the loch with Lady Rhoslyn.
What are you giving the heroine for Valentine's Day? I had a miniature commissioned of my wife and baby daughter. I plan to give it to my wife on February 14. I pray it pleases her.

I'm giving away a digital copy of Claimed. For a chance to win, leave a comment and tell me about one of your favorite Valentines days.

And remember We accept the love we think we deserve. Stephen Chbosky
Never forget that you deserve the best.

Most Valentines are pretty good, but the best are when my hubby and I can get away. The best was probably the one 24 years ago. It was the day before we got married. :-)

One of my favorite Valentine's Days was when my daughter gave me her first homemade valentine, complete with her handprint! She loved her finger paints!

My favorite Valentine's Day was when my hubby asked me to marry him...and we'd been dating only since the previous November! And guess what? I said, "Yes!" Thanks, Tarah, for your participation in this blog hop. jdh2690@gmail.com

I normally tell my husband not to do anything for Valentines because our anniversary is on Jan 26th and being so close together there is no sense spending money on both (god forbid I’m practical). One year, however, he had gotten a hotel room at over looking the beach and we spent the weekend out there for Valentine’s. It was one of the best weekends we had in a while even tho we were still in town we were away from our house and just enjoying the beach and each other.

My husband is from Laos and we don't really celebrate Valentine Day. A few years ago, my two daughters were both working for a florist in a nearby shopping centre. I became friends with this lady and a few days prior to Valentine Day, my oldest daughter called me on her behalf and asked if I would like to come over and help them on that special day. Having no experience in making floral bouquets or anything of the sort, I was assigned to the cash register. I had the time of my life. We had so much fun that I was invited to help again on Mother's Day, Father's Day and any other special day. To this day, I'm still friends with the lady and we get together once in a while and spend a few hours together.

I have never had a good one. Always single. I'm thinking it's better than any disappointment.

Its might not be very romantic but ine of my favorite Valentine's Days was working the Valentines holiday party when my mom was a preschool teacher. It was fun, exhausting and entertaining all in one and would love to do it again and again if I could. Seeing the joy and excitement on each of their faces is more to me than all the romance in the world.

One of my fave Valentines Days was when my oldest daughter was little and she had my sister buy a plant that she wanted me to have. She was so proud of her gift. I thought it was lovely and 16 years later I still have the plant. However my Valentine's days are always special because I have a wonderful family!

One of my favorite Valentine's Days was many years ago when a boyfriend surprised me by taking me on a drive to a "friend's house" that really was a Yorkie breeder. My boyfriend knew my dream was to have a Yorkie. He'd called this breeder weeks before and arranged for me to have pick of the litter. So, there we were, for Valentine's Day, with me getting my dream. It was truly wonderful.
